# How Picks Works
### How Picks Works
Picks operates on a fixed, rule based system designed for clarity and predictability.\
Every outcome is defined before execution. Nothing changes after confirmation.

#### Picks
A **Pick** is a single prediction on a clearly defined performance metric.
Each Pick includes:
* one player or event
* one objective metric
* one fixed performance line
* a binary outcome: **More** or **Less**
Each Pick settles independently based on official, verifiable data.\
If the metric is hit, the Pick settles as correct.\
If not, it settles as incorrect.
There is no interpretation after the event.

#### Lineups
Lineups are created by combining multiple Picks into a single entry.
Rules:
* minimum 2 Picks
* maximum 6 Picks
Each lineup represents a structured combination of independent outcomes.\
The difficulty of the lineup determines the multiplier applied at settlement.

#### Multipliers
Multipliers are fixed before confirmation.
As Picks are added to a lineup, the multiplier updates to reflect:
* the number of Picks
* the overall difficulty of the lineup
Once confirmed:
* the multiplier is locked
* it cannot change
* it applies exactly as shown at submission

#### Lock and Execution
When a lineup is confirmed:
* the entry is locked
* the rules become immutable
* the multiplier is fixed
No edits, cancellations, or adjustments are possible after confirmation.\
Execution is final.

#### Settlement
Each Pick settles independently once official data is finalized.
Settlement follows predefined rules:
* if all Picks are correct, rewards are calculated using the fixed multiplier
* if one or more Picks are incorrect, settlement follows the rules shown before submission
Rewards are credited automatically upon settlement.
No discretion.\
No reinterpretation.\
Data decides outcomes.
